RAISA

Pronunciation: (RISE - ZA!)

RAISA Torres — widely known as RAISA — is a Peruvian contemporary cubist artist born in 1990. She lives and works between Madison, Wisconsin, and Lima, Peru, drawing from the cultural duality of both places to infuse her work with richness, contrast, and emotional depth.

RAISA’s rise has been nothing short of remarkable. In her first year as a full-time artist, she sold out her debut collection of 32 originals — and to date, has placed 99 original works in private collections. Her paintings have captivated audiences in cities across the U.S., including Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, and Pittsburgh, quickly positioning her as a standout in the contemporary art world.

Celebrated for her vivid color palettes, fluid lines, and emotive brushwork, RAISA has earned the nickname “Lady Picasso” among her peers. Each piece explores the layered terrain of human connection, memory, and feeling — transforming personal emotion into universal narrative.

Her work is collected nationally, with her largest collector owning seven originals. Among her collectors are CEOs of leading financial institutions, prominent government figures, and well-known musicians — a reflection of both her growing prestige and the personal resonance her work evokes.
