The Faces

Behind the Print

Uncle Tío rides a bike indoors, Paints fake windows on his doors. He wears two belts but owns no pants, Says colors speak if you give them a chance. He glued a lemon to his wall, Named it “Muse” and let it call. He claims his dreams are public land, And once sold clouds in mason jars by hand. He laughs like thunder, naps in chairs, Keeps glitter stashed in all his spares. “Reality’s fine,” he says, “but why? When you can paint wings on apple pie.”
